Train the Trainer:
Mandatory Health & Safety Training – The deadline has passed.
Has your organization provided mandatory OH&S training to all workers and supervisors?

Ontario Regulation 297/13 came into force on July 1, 2014, meaning that Ontario employers are now required to provide basic occupational health & safety training to all of their workers and supervisors.

To help your organization comply with the Ergonomic content within this Regulation quickly, Optimal Performance Consultants has designed a comprehensive 2 hour ergonomic training program to provide you with an overview of this new legislative requirement, and to provide your OH&S Committee and Managers with an overview of the mandatory ergonomic standards & programs required of ALL employers in Ontario (called the Soft Tissue Injury Campaign).

Presented by Jane Sleeth & her team of Ergonomic Trainers at Optimal Performance, this interactive program will explain the new training requirements prescribed by Ontario Regulation 297/13 and will feature discussions about the key elements that must be in place in your organization to meet the Ministry of Labour for Ontario’s Soft Tissue Injury/Ergonomic Programs including:

– The rights and responsibilities of workplace parties under the General Duty Clause of the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
– The roles of workplace health & safety representatives and joint health & safety committees in the Ergonomic Programs;
– The roles of the Ministry of Labour and the Worplace Safety and Insurance Board in soft tissue injury/MSI prevention;
– Strategies for identifying and eliminating workplace ergonomic hazards.
