An Ottawa woman with muscular dystrophy is suing WestJet after her wheelchair arrived at her destination broken and unusable.
Jane Sleeth‘s insight:
Too bad this has lead to a law suit versus a request on the part of this woman with WestJet. WestJet is an employee owned company who has a vested interest in making things better for all customers. Law suits tend to shut down conversations which lead to improved training, design and solution finding. I would like to see the disabled community use Human Rights and AODA to make their requirements known. Just my opinion as litigators are rarely interested in making things right (except in their profit centres). JESleeth OPC Inc
